All proceeds from this event benefit Journeymen Institute, a 501c3 non-profit providing nature-based rites of passage and mentorship services to boys and young men in Puget Sound.

An event like no other, The Gauntlet brings together a myriad of masterful challenges designed to stretch participants of all ages and stages to experience greater levels of connection, growth and FUN!
Come solo, bring the family or sign up with a team!
The Gauntlet is an opportunity to playfully test your limits through individual and group games while celebrating the magic of community. Join for a few hours or stay the day – all are welcome.
The main event of The Gauntlet is an all-ages adventure course with over a dozen unique challenge elements. We expect the course to take about 2-3 hours to complete as a family or group. We recommend families start the course either in the morning (9-10AM) or early afternoon (1-2PM). We will hold a raffle at lunchtime, around 12-1PM. In addition, we will have live music, food, and much more all day.
All are welcome to join, even if you’re not completing the challenge course!

The Gauntlet is designed to be a fun and inclusive event for individuals, families and groups of all ages, though most elements are best suited for folks age 6+. Children 12 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult on-site.
Why “The Gauntlet”
The Gauntlet is the result of Journeymen’s vision for an authentic annual fundraising event that blows the whole “formal gala” thing out of the water. In case you haven’t noticed, neckties and tuxedos aren’t really our thing…
The Gauntlet represents the Hero’s Journey – it is both an individual adventure and a timeless story on the treacherous path to greatness. By combining the ancient technology of Rite of Passage with our modern style and some good ole’ fashioned community celebration, this event will leave you feeling engaged, connected and empowered.
All proceeds go to benefit Journeymen’s general fund, giving low income youth and families the opportunity to thrive by participating in our transformational camps, quests, and courses.
